Beautiful Beginnings Child Care Center is a community child care center designed to meet the needs of working families in our community. Our educational model is centered on the philosophy that children learn through play Through a mixture of child choice and teacher directed activities, your child will acquire the foundation for reading, writing and logical thinking to set the foundation for long term intellectual growth. Most importantly, we strive to make each child’s learning experience fun and exciting.
Our Approach
Our students gain hands-on experiences to explore with a purpose – having clear expectations around the type of play provided throughout their classroom experience, which is critical in their learning. We offer a safe learning space where they can easily access materials and participate in specific types of play.
Teachers take into consideration where all children are developmentally, including special needs, when deciding what opportunities to present in the classroom. Additionally, our faculty approach teaching opportunities through supportive interactions, providing assistance when needed and recognizing and valuing the talents that students bring to the center.
Diversity
Our commitment to diversity is reflected in many ways throughout the program. At Beautiful Beginnings we are committed to hiring and retaining a racially, culturally and linguistically diverse staff that reflect the diversity of our community. This often helps us to engage our families in a way that is linguistically and culturally sensitive. In the selection of materials for our center, we make sure that there is diversity represented in the materials that the children use and see on a daily basis. Puzzles, books, pictures and dramatic play materials in each classroom reflect people of different ages, languages, races, religions, family composition, abilities and disabilities. Special attention is also paid to insure that we have many representations of people in nontraditional gender roles so that children are exposed to diversity of the human experience.
